“Who will succeed PM Modi? A tough fight between Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath; Who emerged ahead?”

Who will succeed PM Modi: A recent survey asked who should be the next Prime Minister after Narendra Modi, and it revealed a tough competition between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has regained momentum after a series of victories in various state elections. Despite falling short of a majority in the last Lok Sabha elections, BJP has won elections in states like Maharashtra, Haryana, and Delhi in recent months, delivering a blow to the opposition INDIA alliance. According to a fresh survey, if the Lok Sabha elections were held today, BJP could secure a majority on its own, while Congress’s seats may decline.

The survey also asked about PM Modi’s successor. In the survey, a tough contest was seen between Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath for the post. However, Amit Shah received nearly one percent more votes. According to the “India Today” Mood of the Nation survey, 26.8% of people believe Amit Shah should be the next Prime Minister after Narendra Modi, while 25.3% of people want Yogi Adityanath to become the next PM.

Other prominent figures like Nitin Gadkari received 14.6% of the votes, Rajnath Singh got 5.5%, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan received 3.2% of the votes for the next PM. Additionally, the survey asked people who they considered the best Prime Minister of India so far. PM Modi received 50.7% of the votes, while 13.6% selected Manmohan Singh, 11.8% voted for Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and 10.3% chose Indira Gandhi.

The survey also indicated that if the Lok Sabha elections were held now, BJP could secure 281 seats, while Congress might be reduced to 78 seats. In the most recent general elections, Congress had won 99 seats, while BJP secured 240 seats.

This survey was conducted by the C-Voter agency, which interviewed 54,418 people across 543 seats in the country between January 2 and February 9. The agency claims that it gathered opinions from a total of 1,25,123 people for this survey.
