A CCTV footage related to the murder of Congress leader Himani Narwal has emerged. The footage shows the accused, Sachin, carrying a black suitcase. It is believed that the body of the woman was placed inside this suitcase. The video was captured by a CCTV camera outside Narwal’s house. Himani Narwal’s body was found on Saturday near a bus station in Rohtak. According to the police, the accused strangled her with a mobile phone charging cable, killing her. He then placed her body in the suitcase and set out to dispose of it. In the CCTV footage, the accused can be seen walking quietly through the alley near the woman’s house while carrying the suitcase. The police have verified the authenticity of this footage.
The accused, Sachin, has already been arrested in connection with the murder. During questioning, it was revealed that he had been in contact with Himani for about a year and a half through social media. About 6-7 months ago, they became friends, and he began visiting her home regularly. According to the police, the accused admitted that he murdered Himani after getting frustrated with her. Himani had secretly recorded videos during intimate moments and had blackmailed him, demanding large sums of money. The blackmailing had not stopped, and the accused could no longer tolerate it.
Mother’s Demand for Capital Punishment:
Himani’s mother, Savita, has demanded the death penalty for the accused. Speaking to reporters, she said, “I want the death penalty for the killers of my daughter.” She further stated, “I have heard Sachin’s name but do not know him personally. Many people would meet Himani and me during Congress party meetings, including party workers and her friends. My daughter had been associated with the party for ten years.”
Family Refuses to Perform Last Rites Until Arrest:
On Sunday, Himani Narwal’s family refused to perform her last rites until the murderers were arrested. After the breakthrough in the investigation, the family took her body from PGI. Around 3 PM, ADGP KK Rao confirmed the arrest of the accused, Sachin, in the murder case. After the details were revealed, the family went to PGI and took the body for cremation. Himani’s last rites were performed at a cremation ground near Vaish College in Rohtak.
Jewelry Pawned by the Accused:
DGP KK Rao stated that the police arrested the accused, Sachin, from Delhi. The accused strangled Himani with a data cable and then took her scooter to his home. He returned later to steal her laptop, mobile phone, and jewelry. The next day, he pawned the jewelry at a private company. The murder occurred around 5 PM, after which Sachin returned home. Later that night, he came back to clean up blood stains and packed Himani’s body into her own suitcase. He then took the suitcase in an auto to the Sampla bus stand, where he left the auto and went towards the bus stand. He discarded the suitcase there and fled the scene.
