Delhi BJP Government: The new BJP government in Delhi will take oath on Thursday. Rekha Gupta will take the oath as the Chief Minister, and Parvesh Verma is likely to be appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi.

Rekha Gupta will be the new Chief Minister of Delhi. She was unanimously chosen as the leader in the BJP legislative party meeting. After being selected as the party’s legislative leader in the presence of central observers at the BJP Delhi office, Rekha Gupta presented her claim to form the government. Now, the new government led by Rekha Gupta will take the oath on Thursday afternoon. According to sources, six other legislators may also take the oath as ministers along with Rekha Gupta.

As for the ministers, sources say that Rekha Gupta’s cabinet will include six ministers. The potential names for the cabinet include Parvesh Verma, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Kapil Mishra, Ravinder Indraj Singh, Pankaj Singh, and Ashish Sood. However, the BJP has not officially confirmed these names yet. Sources also suggest that Pravesh Verma might be appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi.

Rekha Gupta will take the oath as Chief Minister at 12:35 PM on February 20 at Ram Leela Maidan. The Lieutenant Governor will administer the oath of office and secrecy. All preparations for the swearing-in ceremony at Ram Leela Maidan have been completed. The ceremony will be conducted by the Chief Secretary of Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and key BJP and NDA leaders are expected to attend the event.

Preparations for the swearing-in ceremony at Ram Leela Maidan have been completed. A grand stage has been set up in the middle of the ground, with smaller platforms on both sides. The police and SPG have taken charge of the security of Ram Leela Maidan. Security arrangements were inspected throughout the day, and police forces have been deployed around the entire area.

There will be live broadcasting of the swearing-in ceremony on LED screens along the roads. BJP, after a 27-year return to power, has decorated Ram Leela Maidan with saffron curtains. Cutouts of Prime Minister Modi, Amit Shah, and JP Nadda have been placed around the roads. The Chief Minister will take the oath from the main stage, and the ceremony will also be broadcast live on LED screens along the roads.

There will be security checks at all gates of Ram Leela Maidan. Entry will be permitted through metal detector gates. During the ceremony, the area surrounding the Maidan will be declared a no-vehicle zone.

With tight security in place, Delhi Police has made extensive arrangements. A three-tier security system will be implemented in the Maidan. The SPG will oversee the security of the main stage, while the Delhi Police will form the outer security circle. The area has been divided into 80 sectors. High-rise buildings around the Maidan have been sealed, and 400 police personnel and snipers have been deployed on the rooftops of nearby buildings. These officers will be equipped with binoculars, weapons, and wireless sets. Additionally, drones will be used to monitor the entire event.
