Sonia Gandhi Hospitalized: Sonia Gandhi’s health deteriorates, admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi

Sonia Gandhi Hospitalized: Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi. According to a source, she was admitted to the hospital on Thursday morning.

Sonia Gandhi’s health deteriorated, and she was admitted to the hospital due to a stomach-related issue. The hospital has stated that there is no major cause for concern, and she is under the care of a team of doctors. The hospital also mentioned that Sonia Gandhi may be discharged by Friday evening.

According to Dr. Ajay Swaroop, the Chairman of the management board of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, “She (Sonia Gandhi) was admitted today due to a stomach-related issue, but it is very likely that she will be discharged by tomorrow morning.” She is under the supervision of gastroenterology expert Dr. Samiran Nandi.

Sonia Gandhi, who turned 78 last December, made her last significant public appearance last week when she was seen in the Rajya Sabha during the budget session on February 13. On February 10, Sonia Gandhi urged the government to complete the census as soon as possible and claimed that around 14 crore people are deprived of benefits under the Food Security Act.

During the zero hour in Rajya Sabha, Sonia Gandhi stated that the identification of beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) was being based on the 2011 census, rather than the latest population data. She had described the NFSA, launched by the UPA government in September 2013, as a historic initiative to ensure food and nutrition security for the country’s 140 crore population.
