Cheetah Mitra Lost Job: The Terson who tried to act like a ‘Lion’ in front of Cheetahs lost his job

Cheetah Mitra Lost Job: After a video from Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park went viral, a Cheetah Mitra (a person helping with the cheetahs) was dismissed from his job. The video shows the Cheetah Mitra offering water to the cheetahs from very close.

A man who tried to act like a ‘lion’ in front of cheetahs at Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park by offering them water up close has faced action and lost his job. The viral video shows the man, Satyanarayan Gurjar, who was appointed as a Cheetah Mitra at the park. He worked as a driver in the forest department. The video, which went viral recently, shows him calling the cheetahs and offering them water from a close distance.

Authorities have stated that such interaction with wildlife goes against the rules. In the viral video, a member of the Kuno National Park monitoring team is seen giving water to the cheetahs from a metal vessel.

In the video, the Cheetah Mitra calls the cheetahs by saying “COME COME,” and the cheetahs approach him to drink water. As soon as the video went viral on social media, the forest department took immediate action.

Initially, the accused Cheetah Mitra hesitates to approach the cheetahs, but those standing behind him, including the person filming the video, encourage him to offer water to the cheetahs. According to sources, both videos were shot near Umrikala village. At present, 17 cheetahs, including 11 cubs, are roaming in Kuno Park, while nine cheetahs are kept in enclosures.

The forest department immediately took action in response to the viral video. They removed Satyanarayan Gurjar from his job for violating the rules. The department stated that his actions went against wildlife conservation and safety regulations. Any form of interaction with wildlife is prohibited. Although the action was taken with humane intentions, it became a significant issue due to the violation of rules.

The forest department is also conducting a thorough investigation into the matter, and other officials may face action as well. It is important to note that cheetahs at Kuno National Park were brought from foreign countries, and the park is dedicated to their conservation. The park is a crucial place for wildlife conservation, and any form of contact with the animals is strictly prohibited. Experts believe that the cheetah species is sensitive, and violations of related rules could harm them.
